CHECK THE TIDE SCHEDULE

HIGH tide is a NO go. Begin by checking the tide schedule HERE.

We advise heading to, or leaving the house at least three hours before high tide. Make sure you plan accordingly going to and from Bear Inn to miss high tide. You and your car will be sad if you don't.

Airing down is not recommended, it is mandatory! You can be cited if you do not air down to 18psi. Make sure you have a tire gage. Below are some spots less than a mile from the beach where you can air down your tires.

Driving on the beach, we recommend a four wheel drive car. Having a four wheel drive car will reduce the risk of getting stuck in the soft sand. Please ensure your vehicle is properly equipped and follow local regulations and guidelines for driving on the beach.
